decisions decisions decisions.....

Well Im still on the hunt for the perfect tattoo. After much "umming" and "ahhing" I have decided that I want to get the small tattoo on my arm lazered off! Scary I know.... and yes thats the worst picture its back to front and everything but you get the jist...I got it done a few months after I met the man, and I guess there must have been something good about it cos were together 5 years later but it's just such a badly done tattoo that I want something amazing to represent us not the scribblings of a man with three thumbs.. sooo Im looking into getting it lightened with lazers!! SCARY!!! It is meant to hurt like crazy but it will be worth it in the end I'm sure when I have some gorgeous piece of art on me! 

The themes I have been looking at are Tea Cups,

looove this it's sooo cute and it has a nice meaning to me...

My family is all about tea!! 

Still loving the Russian Doll idea too. I like the thought of that it's what's inside that counts...

I want, I want, I want.....

Im completely in an I want, I want, I want selfish little witch mood at the minute...Don't know why and im going to try and restrain myself BUUUUUT before I do, I must say that I need (which id a very different thing...) these TOMS shoes... Plus if you buy a pair, they donate a pair to a child in need, so really I'm doing a service! Im nice like that...

Because I'm an old lady, I've decided that this New Year (yes, I do realise that its august so probably shouldn't even be contemplating new year yet) I am staying in.... Im going to have a party at home and everyone has to come in their pj's and you have to bring your favourite thing to eat or cook... It's going to take med from now till then to figure out what it is i want to cook but my pj's are beyond sorted!! I want, no don't want NEED this!!!

I am coming as Max from "WHERE THE WILD THINGS ARE" which is just one of the nicest films I have ever seen...Im suspending all other christmas requests, If i get this I will care about nothing else and will be as giddy as a kipper!!

Well it feels like I haven't been here in approximately 300 years... I've only gone and got an actual real persons job and my blogging seems to have been the wounded little animal in the whole piece. Today I fulfilled a life long ambition. Inside my belly right now, all warm and snug and surrounded by its friends is a Krispy Kreme Doughnut. We drove to Leeds yesterday to get some furniture from Ikea and on the same shopping complex there is now a Krispy Kreme!! Whats more it is not just a Kripsy Kreme my friend, it is a Krispy Kreme DRIVE THRU!!! Needless to say it was my immediate suggestion to forgo the furniture and just spend our money on doughnuts. The man was the voice of reason sad to say and we eventually came away with a box of 12 glorious little beasts. I can genuinely see what all the hype is about and why they are an American child. We split the box between 4 of us and I have to say, I don't think I could, well no not could, should; eat any more for a good while, my teeth are still recovering but christ on a bike they were good....

Im back!!!!

well yesterday was my festival I was telling you about. I have to say, It was categorically, fantastically amazing!! Who knew that there was so many people out there who get as excited about vegetable based cakes as i do!! We went down a storm and everyone was so lovely. Im going to stick some more pictures on later but here's a little taster now!

Hello kids. Sorry there hasn't been too much recipe posting of late. I've got the festival coming up that I told you about next weekend and the thought of how much I'm going to have to bake in the two days preceding is slightly terrifying me to say the least. So Im having a little breather before the big marathon next week. Like every marathon you do have to put in some work before hand and the amaretti biscuits were the final recipe that needed to be road tested. It took 16 batches of 4 different recipes but we now have something that I am happy with. I don't think they are a genuine amaretti biscuit; quite honestly I don't think I care- they taste damn good and that, to me is the most important thing. 

(I think the ones with the almonds look better!!) 

I think the reason that they don't seem traditional is that they seem not to have risen like those glorious little humped back beauties you get with a latte (have to say, Im usually more excited to get the free biscuit over my coffee) is that I popped an almond on the top. It may have made them not as beautifully mounded but it gave them a gorgeous chewyness. yum yum yum!

Still looking for the perfect tattoo... I don't want to rush it and I want to get it perfect. To set the record straight, "the" perfect tattoo is actually a few tattoos... I have a flower going down the back of my neck that  I hate. I got it when I was young and silly, well sillier and I really want to get rid of it. Its only maybe two inches long so it's not going to be too hard to cover. I'm still pretty obsessed with a half sleeve idea and I would also like something cute on the back of my calves. Im still in love with the Russian Doll idea and I've found a few more I like.

I think this is going to be the theme that ends up on my arm. I also had a look at some cute Alice in Wonderland designs. With me being a bit of a foodie I'm kind of in love with the whole "eat me, drink me" thing....

Oh how exciting!!

Kitschen has received an award- how exciting! I think the last award I received was "best effort" in a school art competition when I was about 7... "Best effort" isn't even a real award I don't think. It's a kind of subtle way of saying we can see that you tried really, really hard with this but a horse with a paint brush in its teeth would have done better... This is however I feel a genuine real grown up award for being a "Versatile Blogger" I think this means that Im quite good at whittering on about Dolly and cakes and nail varnish and cute tattoos all at a time. Excellent. So I would like to thank the Academy for this award (as I am sure it is them who bestow it upon me yes??) and say "Thankyou very much" I do indeed put....some effort into writing this blog! 

I am now supposed to write 7 things about myself and then pasx on the award to blogs that I love. So here goes.  

• I live in a house over run by wild untamed beasts, namely Mylo, Gertrude and Wednesday the cats, Noah, the mans Labrador and Dolly, my tiny terrorist pug. We also have two tortoises Howard and Edith, they don't do much running though...
• Im starting to study patisserie to help with my dream of becoming a cookbook author

• My favourite film is "Stranger then Fiction" 
• I am terrified of Rabbits 
• I am a vintage kid, a nana before my time. I love The Andrews Sisters and Glenn Miller. Anything from the 40's, 50's 60's and 70's i seem to find amazing.... It all went a bit wrong in the 80's for me.... too much neon...
